It was carefully crafted by the Whisky Mastery Team to showcase the role of ex-bourbon casks in the Macallan portfolio. It perfectly marries a light, fruity sweetness imparted by the ex-bourbon barrels with rich, fruity oakiness from the sherry seasoned American Oak casks. It’s a match made in heaven and one that delivers orange zest, ginger and vanilla on the nose, before the palate arrives with fresh oak, gingerbread and gentle custard. The finish is medium length, with a range of fruits mingling with unique spices in excellent fashion. A fantastic all-round drinking experience and one that any fan of the Macallan is sure to enjoy.
