Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year, Blanton’s Single Barrel, Weller 107 Antique, E.H. Taylor Small Batch, Eagle Rare Bundle
Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year
This bourbon whiskey is bottled at nearly barrel proof. Just a splash of Kentucky limestone water is added after a decade of aging. Rich, yet smooth, this bourbon takes a back seat to none.
Tasting Notes
A sweet vanilla nose with caramel, pecan and oak wood. Smooth, mellow flavor consisting of robust wheat, cherries and oak. Features a long, smoky wheat finish with hints of fruit, spice and oak tannins.
Blanton’s Single Barrel Bourbon
Albert Bacon Blanton was born in the winter of 1881, and if you are a fan of bourbon whiskey, then you may have heard about Blanton’s brand. When he was 16-years-old, Blanton started to work in a distillery as an office boy, and it did not take much time before he was the leading pioneer of bourbon development. He was made the president of the company in 1921, at the age of forty, and he retired in 1952. During his time as the president, the distillery expanded from 44 buildings to a much larger 144. This made their Distillery the largest of its day.
Weller 107 Antique
A wheated bourbon with a full-bodied flavor and a balanced palette. Old Weller Antique is bottled at 107 proof, offering a complex taste and bold finish. It’s certainly a recognizable member of the Weller label, with its own unique characteristics to compliment the high proof.
E.H. Taylor Small Batch
Eagle Rare 10 Year
The nose has complex aromas of toffee. You can also find hints of orange peel, herbs, honey, leather, and oak. The aroma adds many attractive elements to the whiskey as well. The taste is on the more dry side, with a wonderful boldness to it. Bold, dry, and oaky, the flavors also include candied almonds and rich cocoa.
